CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY PROGRAM HISTORY & HIGHLIGHTS
Program History
The Ph.D. training program in Clinical Psychology has been continuously accredited by the American Psychological Association since February 1, 1948, when the accreditation process first began. Among 165 doctoral programs in clinical psychology, there are only 8 programs that have been accredited as long as the CWRU program.

- 100% belong to APA/APAGS
- 93% have attended a national convention
- 88% have presented at a national convention
- 88% have served as first author on a convention presentation
- 83% have collected psychologicical data on medical or psychiatric patients
- 60% have published a psychology journal article
- 40% have taught college level courses on psychology
- 33% have received grant funding (47% applied for funding)
